Fabulous Range of Mature St. Julien

St. Julien is the smallest of the famous Bordeaux appellations and is perhaps the most consistent in terms of quality. 

 It boasts a myriad of styles ranging from the supple, fruit driven wines of Gloria, the supple elegance and balance of Branaire Ducru and Ducru Beaucaillou, the later with such a seamless silky texture. Some combine traditional richness and concentration with purity and harmony such as Beychevelle, Lagrange and Talbot. Finally, power and concentration are more pronounced at Gruaud Larose, though in top examples and with age there is finesse. In the case of Leoville Las Cases, the “King” of St. Julien, it is one of the most complete of all Bordeaux wines and can hold its own against the first-growths.
