We are delighted to offer the following outstanding wines from Comte de Vogue;

1x Case 1988 Musigny Vieilles Vignes – owc/12 bottles

I have always liked the 1988 vintage of Comte de Vogüé Musigny, which, to my palate, was the next to last vintage of the old school style of this bottling; from the 1990 vintage forwards the wine became a more muscular example of Musigny. Showed very nicely indeed, wafting from the glass in a blend of cherries, pomegranate, mustard seed, woodsmoke, a bit of cherrystone, gamebird, heather, coffee and a gentle framing of vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is fullish, complex and intensely flavoured, with a good core, lovely soil signature, fine focus and grip and a long, tangy and modestly complex finish. This is very stylish and really reflective of its underlying terroir. Drink between 2019-2040 (94 John Gilman, June 2020)

2x Cases 1993 Bonnes Mares – owc/6 bottles

A big, expressive Bonnes Mares that demonstrates both concentration and finesse. Impressive and smooth black fruits and touches of violets and it has just started to reveal its seductive qualities. Best from now-2035+ (93 Burghound).
