Please see below a small selection of top wines from leading estates starting with a mini-vertical of Solaia with rare 1978 and 1985 both fabulous and giving great pleasure (the 85, recently awarded 95pts from Vinous). More Solaia, this time in Magnum from 1998 & 2000, both in individual owc’s and have started to drink beautifully.

Top Piedmont starts with rare, mature Giacosa including the 1986 Barolo Riserva Falletto di Serralunga (one of Bruno’s favourite vintages and recently rated 94pts from Vinous). The mature Giacosa’s are gorgeous, nuanced and silky. A full case of 2004 Barbaresco Riserva Asili in owc is a real treat and recently awarded 99 points from Vinous.

There are more rare bottles including outstanding wines from the top 1990 vintage with ultra-rare Barolo Riserva Brunate from Giuseppe Rinaldi, rich, bold and now at a beautiful stage (awarded 96 Wine Advocate) and from Paolo Scavino both Bric del Fiasc (97pts Wine Advocate) in Magnum and Riserva Rocche dell’Annunziata (96pts Vinous), both outstanding.

Finally, amazing Baroli from Luciano Sandrone including the fabulous 1989 Cannubi Boschis (97pts Wine Advocate) and a vertical of Double-Magnums, all in individual owc 1998 (95pts Wine Spectator) & 2001 Cannubi Boschis (97 Wine Enthusiast). Even in this format both are offering exceptional pleasure and will do so in the future. The 2010 Le Vigne is a magnificent wine and an even greater treat in Double-Magnum and recently awarded 100pts from Vinous.
